ACTIVITIES:
Blue Lagoon Boat Day - 10/10
Booked on Viator. This was the highlight of the trip, we highly suggest that you make the journey. It is a full day (6-7 hours) on the beautiful water in the Mediterranean. The Blue Lagoon is a lovely little cove with the bluest water and a few little drink and food trucks. The boats that take you out here have the most wonderful staff and a huge slide. Totally need to go back for a pineapple drink.
Crystal Lagoon Boat Day - 10/10
This lagoon is right next to the Blue Lagoon. The caves here are beautiful and this is also the spot where parts of the movie 'The Count of Monte Criste' were filmed. All of these boat trips are the same just different sizes/styles of boats. They take you to the lagoon and then to the small island 'Gozo'. On the island, you have a 3-hour excursion to just explore. The town has a wonderful vibe and all of the people are great.
Popeye's Village - 7/10
This is the site where they filmed the Popeye movie. It is super cute for kids but also for adults looking for a cute side quest. It feels like you're walking in Dinsey. During the summer months, you can go swimming in the bay, they have tons of water activities. All year round they have a comic museum, film history, and vintage artifacts. The actors/actresses were great too!! It took is about an hour to get through everything.

St. Julians Bar Crawl - 7/10
We were unaware of the fact that this is mostly a millennial thing to do but we are not disappointed that we went. They give you 5 free drinks, tbh they were definitely watered down but nonetheless. It was a good way to get familiar with the downtown scene on the island and meet tons of people. We found some cool local spots that otherwise would not have been on our radar.

RESTAURANTS:
Tribe Malta- 10/10
This place is heaven on earth. Everything on the menu is spectacular and the charcoal latte was definitely a highlight. So fresh!! Must go here. Not very budget friendly tho so keep that in mind.
Il-Gabbana - 9/10
A restaurant overlooking the water on the east side of the island. They have such a big menu and everything on it is. fresh and yummy. Get the hummus... just trust us. AND THE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE! The workers are so funny and they are all a joy to be around.
Ta Cetta Brasserie - 10/10
This breakfast spot is on the small island past the blue lagoon. They had really good cocktails and LEMONAID!! The watermelon lemonade was a show-stopper! On theme with Malta, everything was super fresh and the food came out quickly!
Eddie's Cafe Regina - 8/10
A budget-friendly large dining area with a menu spanning from breakfast-brunch-lunch-dinner! A local favorite that is more inland. The workers again were lovely. We accidentally used some Albanian coins when paying and the worker was so happy as he was Albanian and had not been home in a while. Such a small world moment.
NordicBar - 8/10
The DJ has a really good mix and the atmosphere in here is so fun!! If you are looking for a lively bar, then check here.
Sahara Lounge Shisha - 10/10
The vibes in here were so fun! It is in the downtown area of St. Jullians on the strip. Inside transports you to Egypt with the decor and the music and the furniture... and you know Egypt has our heart!
Krepree - 8/10
A small crepe shop on the beach. They have every kind of crepe from savory to sweet to ice cream. About 6-8 euro. Super quick and obviously a very yummy treat.
Valletta Hostel (vallettastay.com) - 10/10
Booked on HostelWorld. This hostel was very clean and one of the cheaper stays on the island. Plenty of outlets, a large vanity in each room, tons of privacy, and close to the water. Valletta is a calmer city and this hostel is in the heart of it. (close to Starbucks and something about European Starbucks just hits DIFFERENT.)
Cities
Anchor Bay is a very tourist area with stretches of beaches and tons of shops but on the expensive end.
St. Jullians is like Vagas. It is great for young people, with a stretch of bars, casinos, restaurants, and clubs.
Valletta is more residential and quiet but a central location for the bus stops, so it makes getting around super easy!
Take the bus, it is super easy and inexpensive. It goes all over and there is a super easy app too. But pack your patience for the heat and the length of time it takes to get from one place to another!
